Jean-Francois joined AMAL Therapeutics in 2016 and is now Head of Translational Research. His role is to manage the validation of human vaccine candidates on primary cell lines of human cells, and to lead AMAL translational programs.
Jean-Francois has more than 18 years of experience in both academic and biotech R&D in France and Switzerland. He started his career as principal investigator for the French army where he worked on new therapeutics against the radio-induced haematological syndrome during 14 years and acquired a solid experience in immunologic reconstitution, stem cell biology, and cell biology. He has developed a strong expertise in flow cytometry and is now considered as a European expert in this domain. Jean-François then joined TransCure bioServices, a Contract Research Organization specialized in humanized mice, as Chief Scientific Officer during 3 years, before moving to AMAL. There he was responsible for the development of new models of humanized mice, study design, relationship with customers.
Jean-François holds a PhD in Biological and Medical Engineering from the University of Grenoble, France.
